Colour and material Lab organization / Asus / 2005
MY RESPONSIBILITY
Due to my previous experiences in working with two colour and material departments, I was asked to re-design the AsusDesign Colour and Material Lab.
DESCRIPTION
After going through all the materials and colour samples in the library, I categorized them into 4 groups:
- plastic
- metal
- natural material
- colours
Each group a sub-category specifying:
- finish
- treatment
- producer information
Apart from categorizing the materials, I also reserved a space for inspirational materials that were hard to define only by the materials specifications.
For example, I created a collection inspired by:
- oriental finishes
- shinny details
- packaging design
- mockup models
- products parts
- name plates finishes
