2009 / Roca /
Initial Challenge
Roca wanted to create a branded free gift for children—something that would stand out at trade fairs and align with the company’s commitment to sustainability. The challenge was to design a playful and meaningful give-away that would raise awareness about water conservation and teach kids good habits in an engaging way.
The Method
We approached the project as a behavioral learning tool wrapped in a fun, interactive form. The concept revolved around Droppy, a small device/toy that guides children through correct washing routines using animation and visual cues. The aim was to make kids more aware of water consumption and help them develop lasting, responsible habits. Every detail—from the animations and interface to the packaging—was designed to make Droppy both attractive and easy to use.
The Solution
Droppy was launched as a Roca-branded give-away at the ISH Bathroom Fair 2009 in Frankfurt. As a free gift, it attracted attention while delivering an educational message. Children who used Droppy learned how to wash properly with minimal water, reinforcing sustainable behavior in a fun and memorable way. The project was aligned with Roca’s environmental values and became a popular feature at events.
