Initial Challenge:
There were over 20 different persona templates in use, leading to duplicated efforts, findability issues, and no straightforward method for reusing others’ work stored in their private folders. Various roles required different sets of persona attributes, and the solution needed to be easily accessible for daily work. We anticipated an evolving solution through implementation.

The Method:

We conducted internal research to gauge the level of persona usage understanding within the company. We developed a personas taxonomy and created descriptions for each persona through qualitative and desk research. Furthermore, we established a cross-department persona council to devise a solution that aligned with the expectations of CX, UX, Marketing, and Sales.

The Solution:
Initially, we crafted a temporary Personas Library solution in SharePoint and began the development of a more advanced tool.

My Involvement:
I played a direct role in the creation of the personas taxonomy and initial persona descriptions. I developed SharePoint pages and populated them with content accessible to everyone in the organization. I also provided guidance to the UX designer in the development of the more advanced tool.
